Abstract

Role of sodium, beyond volume in resuscitation Iatrogenic fluid overload is a potential side effect of intravenous fluid therapy in the hospital. Little attention has been paid to sodium administration as a separate cause of harm. Not only the volume but the administer sodium has a substantial impact on the overall prognosis and survial.
